Usage Note 33810: "Error occurred getting the available value list for the data item" when creating a filter in SAS® Web Report Studio
If a report is based on an information map that joins two or more tables, then, in order to create a filter that enables users to select from a list, the report author must have both Read and ReadMetadata permissions for all of the tables that are joined in the information map.
If the author does not have both Read and ReadMetadata permissions for one (or more) of the tables, then the following error might appear:
Error occurred getting the available value list for the data item.
This error occurs even if the report does not include any data items from the table that does not have both Read and ReadMetadata permissions assigned to the author.
